Experts of Privatization came together in the meeting of EconomicCooperation Organization (ECO) on Thursday in Baku.

Public relations liaison of Iran Privatization Organization (IPO) reported by IRNA, expert meeting of privatization was held one day prior to “meeting of heads of privatization agencies of ECO member states” in the capital of Republic of Azerbaijan, Baku.

Execution and implementation of results of prior meetings and discussing the upcoming meeting’s agenda were among subjects debated by privatization experts of 10 ECO member states.

DavoodKhani, vice-president of Iranian Privatization Organization (IPO) stated that in this meeting with presence of heads of privatization in ECO member states, basis of privatization conference agenda was set.

On subjects to be covered in conference, he stated “In tomorrow’s meeting subjects including divestiture of utility sectors, comprising water, electricity, energy to private sector as well as impediments to divestiture of state-owned assets to private sector and foreign investment incentives are to be discussed.”

Khani mentioning the trend and complexities of privatization, added” We hope this exchange of knowledge and experience turn into a unified approach in the ECO region for privatization. “

HadiSoleimanpour, secretary general and Mir Ali Ashraf AbdollahPouri-Hosseini, Director of Iran Privatization Organization will participate in this meeting.
