The IRI Organization for Foreign Investment reported that 54 projects of investment in Iran amounting to 10.7 b USD were approved in the period of April to September 2007. 

According to Mehr News Agency, the IRI Organization for Foreign Investment also reported that: “the trend of foreign investment promotion in Iran is in a way that the number of investment permits issued during the period of April to September, exceeds the number of permits issued during the entire previous year. 

The size of foreign investment in Iran during 2006, which is known as a record, was 10.3 b USD.  However, the permits issued for foreign investment during April to September 2007 in Iran amounts to 10.7 b USD. 

The size of foreign investment in Iran during 2005, 2004, 2003, 2002, and 2001 amounted to 4,200, 2,700, 1,300, 612, and 67 m USD, respectively. 

This Organization finally underscored that the size of foreign investment in Iran from 1993 until now exceeded 32 b USD.
