Advisor to the head of Iran Privatization Organization stated: In the past year almost 100 percent of divestitures were made to real private sector.
According to Public Relations liaison of Iran Privatization Organization (IPO) Mr. SeyedJafarSobhani with respect to divestitures in the current Persian calendar year, beginning from 21st March 2018 declared: There are approximately 630 enterprises under group #1 category and in two strings ready for divestitures. For which valuation process and analysis ofdivestiture method will be initiated.
Advisor to the IPO head mentioned 100 percent of divestituresmade to the real private sector is a very significant milestone, along withthe fact that quasi and semi state-owned enterprises did not play a role in the divestitures.
He added on 24th July 2018 a total number of 16 companies are to be divested which includes 3 corporations.
