In an interview with Mehr News Agency, referring to Iran's presence in Islamic countries Stock Exchange meetings, Mr. Abolfazl Shahrabadi stated: “Islamic countries Stock Exchange will hold two sessions annually.”
Stating that one of the working committee of the Islamic countries Stock Exchange is holding every spring, Mr. Shahrabadi reiterated: “Tehran Stock Exchange officials are responsible for one of the workgroups of this committee.”
He announced of holding the committee and meeting of Islamic countries Stock Exchange in Saudi Arabia (Riyadh) during next year and said: “Also, a meeting and an annual assembly of Islamic countries Stock Exchange is holding in October or November of each year in Istanbul.”
Referring to the international measures of Tehran Stock Exchange during the current year, Shahrabadi reiterated: “This year, the issue of Tehran Stock Exchange presidency is propounded in the working committee of the Federation of European- Asian Securities and Exchange (FEAS) which was unprecedented throughout the country’s Stock Exchange history.
He explained:”Tehran Stock Exchange has a significant presence among the international markets and Stock Exchange. With internationalization of Tehran Stock Exchange, the currency exchange board is not needed any more.”
