Notification of the Government’s Legislation for Divesting of 25 SOEs during 2007

Vice-President notified the Board of Ministers’ Legislation regarding the divestiture of 100 percents of the shares of 25 SOEs through the Stock Exchange or bids in 2007.

According to the reports of Mehr News Agency, the Board of Ministers in its meeting held on September 12, 2007, in view of the suggestion No. 25976, dated September 11, 2007, submitted by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance (MEAF), and on the strength of Paragraph “A” of Article 14 of the Third Economic, Social and Cultural Development Plan of the Islamic Republic of Iran, approved in 2000, which became enforceable according to Article 9 of the 4^th Economic, Social and Cultural Development Plan of the Islamic Republic of Iran, approved in 2004, legislated the following:

All the government-owned shares in the Enterprises subject of the following Table shall be divested according to the scheduled plan and the specified method.

This legislation No. 98230/T 38244 H, approved on September 19, 2007, was notified to the MEAF, Ministry of Industries and Mines, Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Oil, Ministry of Justice, Presidential Department of Strategic Planning and Oversight, and the Central Bank of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
